Overdraft Protection allows the Credit Union, on your behalf, to make transfers in $50.00 increments from account(s) you designate to your checking account.  In the event you write a check (or other item which is trying to pay from your account) for more than the funds available in your checking account, the item will be paid provided the funds are available from the overdraft source.  There is a $2.00 fee for each transfer.

OVERDRAFT PROTECTION DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT ALL YOUR DEBIT CHARGES WILL BE PAID.  IF YOU EXCEED THE TRANSFER LIMITATIONS SET FORTH BELOW IN ANY STATEMENT PERIOD (CALENDAR MONTH), ANY FUTURE TRANSACTIONS FOR THAT PERIOD WILL NOT BE HONORED.

Federal Regulation D limits the number of transfers that can be made from a deposit account (savings) or PIA by SIX (6) each month.  These include:

1. Telephone transfers assisted by a Credit Union employee;
2. CALL-24 telephone transfers;
3. Overdraft protection transfers;
4. Withdrawals to a third party by check or pre-authorization; and 
5. WEB-24 internet transfers.

The member is authorized to make no more than six (6) transfers and withdrawals, or a combination of such transfers and withdrawals, to another account (including a transaction account) of the member or another member's account where he is listed as an overdraft source.
