Overdraft Privilege

Rather than automatically returning any unpaid items that you may have, due to insufficient funds, CCATCU will consider, without obligation on your part, payment of your reasonable overdrafts.

Overdraft Privilege means you can avoid high charges from merchants for returned checks, you have new convenience, and flexibility in managing your funds and payments of overdrafts.  The eligible transaction types will include:  checks, in person withdrawals, ACH (preauthorized), ATM, POS (Point of Sale), home or Internet banking bill payment and transfers, and telephone banking bill payment and transfers.  Overdraft up to $400 will normally be considered.

CCATCU will charge our normal insufficient funds fee, $18.00, as set forth in the fee schedules, for each item that would create an overdraft on your account.  You must bring your account to a positive balance (not overdrawn) immediately or as soon as possible and at least once every thirty (30) days.

Of course, we are not promising to pay overdrafts on all accounts, not all accounts are eligible*.    CCATCU may suspend ODP services to those who are (1) delinquent on any obligation with the credit union, (2) members who have not paid their overdraft within the allocated time period, and (3) members who have initiated a fresh start loan.  You must remain a member in good standing and some restrictions do apply.  You may request a copy of the Overdraft Privilege Policy by contacting the Member Service Center at (361) 985-6277 or email membersvs@ccatcu.com.

*Overdraft consideration exclusively for eligible CCATCU members.  Eligible account types include Regular Checking and Your Choice Checking.  Restrictions apply.
