Who can join a credit union?
A credit union exists to serve a specific group of people, such as a group of employees or the members of a professional or religious group. This is called a "field of membership." The field of membership may include where they live, where they work, or their membership in a social or economic group.

Are savings deposits insured?
Yes. All savings accounts are insured up to $100,000 by the NCUA, the National Credit Union Administration, an agency of the federal government.

How long do I have to be a member before I can apply for a loan?
There is no minimum waiting period after opening your account before you can apply for a loan. Once you become a member, you are eligible to apply for all Credit Union services.

Am I eligible to apply for another loan if I already have one?
Yes, if you qualify. You may have a personal loan, car loan and even a mortgage loan with the Credit Union.

Once I become a member, what happens if I change employers or move away?
Once you are a member, you are always a member. As long as your savings account is open, you can continue to use all Credit Union services, regardless of where you live or work.

I signed up for Overdraft Protection and have funds available in the overdraft source. Why were the funds not transferred?
You may have exceeded the maximum number of transfers for the month. Federal Regulation D limits the number of transfers to SIX per calendar month.
