Who Can Join

To join the credit union, you must first be in the field of membership of Coastal Community And Teachers Credit Union. What this means is, you must be employed by one of the organizations, live or work in Nueces, San Patricio, Aransas, Kleberg, Jim Wells or Duval County, or attend school at one of the colleges/university specified in our field of membership.

Membership in the Coastal Community And Teachers Credit Union is a lifetime benefit for employees and/or residents in the Credit Union Field of Membership. (See Field of Membership for qualified individuals.) Your immediate family and household are also eligible. "Immediate family" is defined as Spouse, Child, Sibling, Parent, Grandparent, Grandchild, Stepparent, Stepchildren, Stepsiblings, and Adoptive relationships.

The Credit Union philosophy is "Once a member, always a member." What this means to you as a member, is once you join the Credit Union, you can maintain your membership even if you change employers or move, as long as you maintain a minimum balance of $5 in your savings account and remain in good standing with the Credit Union.

Employees of Coastal Community And Teachers Credit Union; persons retired as pensioners or annuitants from the above employment; spouses of persons who died while within the field of membership of Coastal Community And Teachers Credit Union; employees of Mobil Oil Company and Magnolia Pipeline Company who work in northern section of the Corpus Christi district (bounded on the north by the following counties, all of which are in Texas: Maverick, Zavala, Medina, Atascosa, Karnes, Bee, Refugio and Aransas, and on the south by highway 59, from Laredo eastward to Freer, and highway 44 from Freer eastward to Corpus Christi, including all towns on both highways) except employees who work in the District office in Corpus Christi and in Robstown, Texas, who are not members of this credit union as of 10/07/93; and immediate family members.

*Members of Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Alumni Association in Corpus Christi, Texas, who qualify for membership in accordance with its bylaws as of January 11, 1994.
