The FOCUS Foundation was formed in January 2005 by Coastal Community And Teachers Credit Union.  Management, Staff and Board recognized the need for support of the youth in our community which includes Aransas, Duval, Jim Wells, Kleberg, Nueces, and San Patricio Counties.

Since it's inception, the program has awarded over $70,000 to over 101 schools and organizations that assist the youth by providing uniforms, school supplies, after school or educational programs and more.

Incorporated under the laws of the State of Texas in October 2007, the FOCUS Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt corporation.

Mission Statement 

The mission of the FOCUS Foundation – For Our Children’s Ultimate Success is to provide resources throughout our communities to enable educators to teach and students to learn. 

The FOCUS Foundation understands the financial need this year for field trips since a lot of the funding for these events has been eliminated throughout the districts we serve in our communities.The Field Trip Grant Program will begin in January 2012 whereas schools will be able to apply for a field trip grant (more information will be forthcoming on grant guidelines).The FOCUS Foundation will be directing all funds raised from now until January 31, 2012 towards the field trip grant program.Our communities include Nueces, Duval, San Patricio, Kleberg, Aransas and Jim Wells counties.  We will continue to post updates on this page as they become available.

KALLING ALL KIDS!  We want to reward our young readers this school year with FUN lapel pins.  Display them proudly on your lanyard to show everyone your awards!  Just read 10 books each month from September through May and receive a lapel pin award for each month! Simply redeem your Readers' Card for your pin at any Coastal Community And Teachers CU location. To receive your Reader's Card and, if you're a new member, your free lanyard, complete and submit the membership form to get started for this school year!  (Program begins September 1, 2011.)
